The Pepper Pots nació en el caluroso verano de 2002 con el reto de recuperar el sonido y la estética de las bandas jamaicanas de los años '60. En tan solo medio año de existencia, deciden entrar por primera vez a estudio, y grabar lo que será su primera "demo". Gracias a esta, tienen la oportunidad de compartir escenario con grandes artistas del género de la talla de Laurel Aitken, Winston Francis, Dave Barker...

No es hasta finales de 2004 cuando la banda se consolida de forma clara después de madurar musicalmente al incorporar nuevos componentes. Es entonces cuando The Pepper Pots, con un trío vocal femenino, vuelven a estudio a grabar su primer LP "Swingin' Sixties", editado por Brixton Records. Un disco donde queda reflejado el amplio abanico de sonidos que durante los años 60-70 bañaron las tierras jamaicanas: Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, Soul.

Mimando hasta el último detalle y con una cuidadosa imagen, demuestran que a pesar de vivir en tiempos de estandarización musical es posible volver a la sencillez y frescura del sonido clásico.

"The Pepper Pots" were born in the torrid summer of 2002 with the challenge of recovering the sounds and looks of the Jamaican bands of the 60's. In just six months they stepped into the recording studio to register their first demo and as a result they had the opportunity to share stage with big names of the scene: Laurel Aitken, Winston Francis, Dave Barker...

It is not until 2004 when the band went professional after gaining experience on the road and adding new members. It is at this moment when "The Pepper Pots", now fronted by a female trio of vocalists, went back to the studio to capture their first album: "Swingin' Sixties", edited by Brixton Records. It is a disc that unmistakably exhibits the wide variety of sounds that washed the shores of Jamaica during the 60's and 70's: Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae and Soul.

With extreme care to the last detail and featuring a precise image "The Pepper Pots" prove that in times of musical standardization it is possible to return to the naturality and coolness of the classic sounds.
