La big band italiana de maestros NORTH EAST SKA*JAZZ ORCHESTRA presenta nuevo disco que lleva como título NORTH EAST SKA JAZZ ORCHESTRA. 

Tras la gran acogida de su álbum de debut Stompin´& Rollin (2015/Brixton Records) y haber girado por todo el continente europeo, esta orquesta compuesta por 18 músicos presenta ahora el álbum con titúlo homónimo al de la banda. Se trata de 9 nuevas composiciones propias en las que continúan profundizando en su investigación sonora de las músicas jamaicana desde la perspectiva de una orquesta contemporánea. El resultado es una mezcla de sonoridades diversas en el que todos los componentes han aportado su granito de arena. Mención especial merecen los tres vocalista de la banda, Freddy Frenzy con su inconfundible estilo fiel a la tradición del ska originario, Rosa Mussin mostrando su potencia y soulful voz en temas como el fast-ska "Share With You All" y Michela Gena que contrariamente a sus orígenes en sonoridades dub se adentra en sabores oldies. Ya pudimos degustar una muestra de lo que nos estaban preparando con el single digital Shocking My Life, lanzado el pasado diciembre. 

El martes 26 de marzo se realiza una presentación para fans y amigos locales en el teatro Pasolini de la ciudad friulana de Cervignano y estará disponible a partir del próximo día 1 de abril en formato CD y descarga digital, y unas pocas semanas más tarde en glorioso vinilo.

Following the critical and audience acclaim for their 2015 debut album Stompin´& Rollin (Brixton Records) and a string of explosive performances the 18-piece orchestra releases now their second album simply entitled North East Ska Jazz Orchestra. Nine brand new own-penned tracks further investigating Jamaican sounds from the perspective of a contemporary big band. The outcome is a mixture of sonorities and textures to which all of the band members have contributed. The three singers deserve a special mention: Freddy Frenzy and his unmistakable style always faithful to the tradition of original ska, Rosa Mussin showing her powerful and soulful discharge in tracks like the fast-ska "Share With You All" and Michela Gena who steps forward without fear in "oldies" land. We all had a first taste of what NESJO was cooking last December with the preview single Shocking My Life.

On Tuesday March 26th North East Ska Jazz Orchestra will be presenting this new album to friends and local fans in theater Pasolini in Cervignano, at their own region of Friuli. From then on the album will be available in CD format and download, and a few weeks later in glorious vinyl.
