Es así de fácil, agítalo y tomate con calma este cocktail de música negra. Un retorno a la gloriosa era de los clubs, donde toda clase de gente se junta para bailar, beber y disfrutar mientras escuchan y bailan la mejor música de todos los tiempos. Un lugar lleno de clase, donde la gente muestra sus mejores galas y se libera en la pista de baile. Tomando ejemplo de los años 60, The Pepper Pots recuperan el sonido de las bandas que hicieron vibrar las pistas de baile y que se hicieron populares gracias a discográficas como Trojan, Studio One o la estadounidense Motown entre otras.
The Pepper Pots se formaron en 2002. Tras 2 años en la escena publicaron su primer LP,
“Swinging Sixties”, con la discográfica vasca Brixton Records; un álbum distribuido por toda Europa. No fue hasta 2006 cuando la bada realizó un salto de gigante en su carrera, apareciendo en varios discos recopilatorios, ofreciendo más de 40 actuaciones durante el año y compartiendo escenario con excepcionales nombres como Laurel Aitken, Derrick Morgan, Dave Barker, Winston Francis, The Aggrolites, Mr. T-Bone, Dr. Ring Ding, Macka B, The Toasters, New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, Ki-Mani Marley... para acabar con una gira propia, tomando parte en festivales en las pricipales ciudades europeas como Bruselas, Berlin, Neuchatel, Praga...
The Pepper Pots comienzan 2007 con su segundo álbum SHAKE IT! en el que descargan toda la experiencia adquirida y el renovado amor por la música negra de décadas precedentes. Este disco, editado y distribuido por
Brixton Records en Europa y por Ska in the World en Japón, incluye invitados de lujo: la aparición estelar de los jamaicanos The Pioneers (Jackie Robinson y George Dekker), los franceses A.S.P.O. y los alemanes Dr. Ring Ding. Es un disco grabado analógicamente y con instrumentos de la época que sigue el camino iniciado en el primer LP pero esta vez con la colaboración de una orquesta de más de 20 músicos que toma parte en varios temas del álbum
En resumen... esto es lo que puedes encontrar en este LP: un álbum para bailar y para regresar a la era en la que Ska, Rocksteady, el primer Reggae o el Soul eran la música pop del momento.

It´s that easy, shake it and take in calmly this cocktail of black music. A return to the glorious era of the clubs where all kinds of people got together to dance and enjoy a drink while they listened and danced to the best music of the time. A place with a lot of class, where the people showed off their best suits and set themselves free on the dancefloor. Taking their cue from the 60s, The Pepper Pots bring back the sound of the bands that made the dancefloors vibrate and became popular thanks to labels such as Trojan, Studio One or the American Motown, among others.
