INSIDE es el tercer álbum (y segundo consecutivo en Brixton Records) de la respetada agrupación barcelonesa de diez músicos que fusiona música jamaicana y jazz. DROP COLLECTIVE se enfrenta con valentía al llamado síndrome del tercer disco y realiza una sincera declaración de principios, una manifestación pública de su identidad musical. 

Las dos caras del disco están claramente identificadas. La cara A es Inside-Out, es decir, de dentro hacia afuera. Cinco composiciones propias, que incluyen tres temas cantados en catalán y dos en inglés, en los que DROP COLLECTIVE deja claro qué es lo que les gusta hacer y todo lo que son capaces de ofrecer. La cara B es Outside-In, o lo que es lo mismo, de fuera hacia adentro, cuatro reinterpretaciones de clásicos del jazz que DROP COLLECTIVE interiorizan, hacen suyos y, por lo tanto, forman parte también de su identidad. 

INSIDE es un disco de sonido compacto, sólido y sincrónico, pero repleto de matices, que proporciona un total sentido de permanencia y singularidad a su maestría ska-reggae-jazz, en la que caben muchos universos. 

INSIDE is the third album (and second in a row on Brixton Records) by the respected ten-piece group from Barcelona that fuses Jamaican music and jazz. DROP COLLECTIVE bravely faces the so-called third album syndrome and makes a sincere declaration of principles, a public manifestation of their musical identity. 

The two sides of the album are clearly identified. Side A is Inside-Out, displaying five own-penned compositions, including three songs sung in Catalan and two in English, in which DROP COLLECTIVE make it clear what they like to do and what they are capable of offering. The B-side is Outside-In, four reinterpretations of jazz classics that DROP COLLECTIVE internalise, make their own and, therefore, also form part of their identity. 

 INSIDE is an album with a compact, solid and synchronous sound, but full of details, which gives a total sense of permanence and singularity to their ska-reggae-jazz mastery, in which many universes fit.
