(English text below)El trombonista, cantante, productor, arreglista y compositor Gigi "Mr. T-Bone" de Gaspari, ha sido un activo músico desde que tenía 14 años. Nacido en Milán obtuvo el diploma de trombón en el “Conservatorio G. Verdi" de esa ciudad completando estudios en Civic School of Jazz a la vez que se convertía en miembro estable de la Civic Jazz Band. Así tuvo la oportunidad de colaborar con artistas de renombre internacional como: Giorgio Gaslini, Enrico Rava, Bobby Watson, Bob Brookmeyer y la Orquesta Sinfónica Giuseppe Verdi. También tomó parte en las más prestigiosas Jazz Walking Bands italianas, girando por Europa con ellas.
Siempre enamorado de la música ska y reggae, comenzó a colaborar con los máximos exponentes italianos de esta escena. Naturalmente Gigi fue inmediatamente contratado como miembro de pleno derecho de “Africa Unite”, la banda de reggae más famosa de Italia y de "Giuliano Palma & The Bluebeaters", un fantástico combo de rocksteady. Grabando y actuando con ambas bandas vivió 3 años de brillante éxito. Durante este periodo también tomo parte en sesiones de grabación con: Vallanzaska, Civic Jazz Big Band, Casino Royale, Scisma, Platinette, Vinicio Capossela, Persiana Jones y Wah Companion.
Pero es 1999 el año crucial para Gigi "Mr. T-Bone" de Gaspari. Es en ese año cuando conoce a otros músicos fuera de lo usual y que también proceden de las escenas del jazz y el ska y decide fundar “The Jamaican Liberation Orchestra”, la primera banda italiana de ska-jazz. Así que, en los periodos libres entre giras con “Africa Unite” y “GP & the Bluebeaters” la Orquesta de la Liberación Jamaicana actúa por todo el país. A comienzos del año 2000 compuso e interpretó la banda sonora para la película “Ravanello Pallido” que fue un gran éxito en Italia. Y en 2002 llega “That’s It!” el primer álbum completo en el que Gigi figura como líder. Es un trabajo compuesto y arreglado por Gigi en el que se muestra su particular mezcla de ska y jazz que cuenta con 8 fantásticos temas propios y 2 tributos: uno al maestro Astor Piazzolla (Libertango) y otro a su gran amor, la música de Jazz (The Lonesome Road). Mr. T-Bone y su J.L.O. en directo cosecharon gran éxito y entusiastas seguidores.
En verano de 2002 Mr. T-Bone se unió a The New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble como trombonista para la gira europea de la prestigiosa banda estadounidense. Una vez terminado el tour, decidió acompañarles de vuelta a Nueva York y participar en la grabación del nuevo álbum de NYSJE, “Minor Moods”. Tras la grabación del disco continuo actuando en directo con ellos.
Tras ese periodo tan comprimido Mr. T-Bone se encuentra en plena forma y le parece el momento adecuado para reunir en una "súper jam session" a los mejores músicos de las escenas ska de Italia y Nueva York. MR. T-BONE SEES AMERICA se grabó “en vivo” "inna jamaican style" en Brooklyn, en los estudios Coyote Studio e incluye catorce nuevos temas compuestos, interpretados, cantados y arreglados por Mr. T-Bone. Él fue el “jefe” de una ALL STARS BAND que incluía músicos de The Skatalites, The Bluebeaters, The Slackers, New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, Africa Unite, David Hillyard & Rocksteady 7, Reggae National Tickets, Casino Royale, Easy Dub All Stars... y producido por Vic Ruggiero (Slackers, Rancid). Fue Grabado en 2004 y publicado en enero de 2005 con un gran éxito de público y crítica como prueba el hecho de que muchas canciones de este álbum fueran seleccionadas para recopilatorios realizados en Japón, EE.UU., Alemania e Italia y para spots publicitarios. Rocksteady, Ska Jazz, Reggae...de altisima calidad, es decir Mr. T-Bone en estado puro.

Trombone player, singer, producer, arranger, song writer, Gigi "Mr T-Bone" de Gaspari, has been an active musician since he was 14 years old. Born in Milano (italy), he achieved a trombone diploma at the “Conservatory G. Verdi" of Milano also studying at the Civic School of Jazz and becoming a stable member of the Civic Jazz Band. There he had the chance to collaborate with significant international artists like: Giorgio Gaslini, Enrico Rava, Bobby Watson, Bob Brookmeyer and the Symphonic Orchestra Giuseppe Verdi. He also played a part in the most renowned Italian Jazz Walking Bands touring all over Europe with them.
Always in love with Ska and Reggae music, he started collaborating with the maximum exponents of this scene in italy. Naturally Gigi was quickly enrolled as a full member of “Africa Unite”, the most famous Italian reggae band, and "Giuliano Palma & The Bluebeaters" a fantastic Rocksteady Group. Touring and recording with both, he experienced 3 years of brilliant success. During this period he also took part in recording sessions for Vallanzaska, Civic Jazz Big Band, Casino Royale, Scisma, Platinette, Vinicio Capossela, Persiana Jones and Wah Companion.
But it is 1999 the crucial year for Gigi "Mr T-Bone" de Gaspari. At that time he met other out of the ordinary musicians, all coming from the Jazz and Ska scenes, and decided to create “The Jamaican Liberation Orchestra”, the first Italian ska-jazz band. So in the time off in between tours with “Africa Unite” and “GP & the Bluebeaters” The Jamaican Liberation Orchestra played gigs around Italy. In the beginning of 2000, he composed and interpreted the soundtrack for the movie “Ravanello Pallido” which was a great success in Italy. And in 2002 came “That’s It!” the first album featuring Gigi as band leader, a work displaying a very special blend of ska and jazz. He composed, arranged, played and then selected 8 fantastic songs, plus two tributes: one to Maestro Astor Piazzolla (Libertango) and one to his great love, Jazz Music
(The lonesome road). Mr T-Bone and his J.L.O. toured collecting big success and enthusiastic people.
In the summer of 2002 Mr. T-Bone joined The New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble as a band member for their European tour and once the tour was over he joined the band on the trip back to New York to participate in NYSJE’s album “Minor Moods”. After that he kept on touring with them.
After that hectic period Mr.T-Bone is in great shape and it seemed the right time to gather in a "super jam session" the best musicians of the Italian and New York ska scenes. MR. T-BONE SEES AMERICA was recorded "live" "inna jamaican style" in Brooklyn at the Coyote Studio including fourteen new songs, written, played, sang and arranged by Mr.T-Bone. He was the "chief musician" of an ALL STARS BAND featuring musicians from The Skatalites, The Bluebeaters, The Slackers, New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, Africa Unite, David Hillyard & Rocksteady 7, Reggae National Tickets, Casino Royale, Easy Dub All Stars... and produced by Vic Ruggiero (Slackers, Rancid). Recorded in 2004 it was released in January 2005 with quite a success proved by the fact that many songs from this album were also selected for compilations in Japan, USA, Germany and Italy as well as for TV commercials. The jazz flavoured ska gets you into the golden times of jamaican jazz of the 60's and the brilliant sound makes you wanna dance. Mr. T-Bone at his best!
