BRIXTON RECORDS se congratula en anunciar el próximo lanzamiento de COME SHINE el nuevo álbum de la banda barcelonesa DROP COLLECTIVE.

DROP COLLECTIVE es una agrupación nacida en 2016, formada por diez músicos que fusionan música jamaicana y jazz en un repertorio de composiciones y arreglos propios, que no olvida la importancia de hacer bailar al respetable. Es una banda experimentada y rodada en importantes escenarios como el Nowa Reggae, el Voll-Damm Festival Internacional de Jazz de Barcelona, las Nits de Jazz a La Pedrera, las Festes de la Mercè, entre otros. Tambien ha compartido cartel con artistas como Toots & the Maytals, The Skatalites, Dr. Ring Ding, Doreen Shaffer, Ky-Mani Marley... 

En 2018 publicó STORMIN’ (La Panchita Record) su álbum de debut con  colaboraciones de Dr. Ring Ding, Gorka Benítez y Chalart 58. Temas de DROP COLLECTIVE tambien han sido incluidos en los compilatorios "Blackcelona 4: The Sound of the New Generation" y "Jamaicat". 

COME SHINE recoge las últimas composiciones del colectivo. Ritmos y melodias antillanos bajo el paraguas del jazz, pero con un reverencial respecto a la esencia de ambas tradiciones.

COME SHINE se editará en formato LP, CD y descarga digital y la fecha prevista de lanzamiento es el 26 de noviembre 2021.

BRIXTON RECORDS is very pleased to announce the forthcoming release of COME SHINE, the new album of Barcelonian band DROP COLLECTIVE. 

DROP COLLECTIVE, founded in 2016, is a band of ten musicians that fuses Jamaican music and jazz in a repertoire of own-penned compositions and arrangements, not forgeting the importance of making the audience dance. It is an experienced band that has stepped important stages such as Nowa Reggae, the Voll-Damm International Jazz Festival of Barcelona, ​​the Nits de Jazz a La Pedrera, the Festes de la Mercè, among others. Has also shared bill with renowned artists such as Toots & the Maytals, The Skatalites, Dr. Ring Ding, Doreen Shaffer, Ky-Mani Marley ... 

In 2018 DC released STORMIN '(La Panchita Record) the debut album with collaborations by Dr. Ring Ding, Gorka Benítez and Chalart 58. Tracks from DROP COLLECTIVE have also been included in the compilations "Blackcelona 4: The Sound of the New Generation" and "Jamaicat". 

COME SHINE features the latest compositions of the collective. Antillean rhythms and melodies under the jazz umbrella, but with a reverence for the essence of both traditions. 

COME SHINE will be released in LP, CD and digital download formats and the expected release date is November 26, 2021. 

The first taste will be a digital single with the title track of the album on October 15th.
